N.T Artist Spotlight: PUSH

For this installment of the "N.T Artist Spotlight" I was lucky enough to grab some time with the busy MC HORA from local Hip Hop group PUSH for a quick chat & yak about their new album + The Dope Den is also droppin' two blazin' new songs from the PUSH crew that will be featured on their up-coming album which is due for a Christmas release... don't sleep on PUSH, they rep the N.T all day and they are some talented, hard-working cats with a true love for the music.... Shouts to the whole PUSH crew!

Dope Boy: What's up Hora!

HORA: Just keeping busy and trying to stay out of the heat!!!

DB: So you've got a new album dropping this Christmas, what's the album called and where can we cop it bro?

HORA: The name thats stuck the longest so far is "SHADEZ OF HORA" to represent varying degrees within my persona and it'll be available in the CD store in Palmerston and also around the NT. Best point of contact would be direct through the crew....PUSH!!!

DB: Any local MC's drop in for a fire guest verse on this one?

HORA: I feel that everyones got their own thing going on so i just went ahead with the crew i helped build. So, you don't really count family as guests, they are just there or they're not. It worked better then i had imagined so i can't complain.

DB: I was reading that this album will be totally written, produced, mixed and mastered in-house by your crew PUSH and I wanted to give you props for that, people don't understand just how much work goes into making an album.... how long has it taken to put this project together and who was involved?

HORA:I got Kaotik-D, Lunchbox, Draztic and Ghosty droppin verses on some dope tracks like "Way of Life", "Fuck'em" and "Hard Head". I got Maddy droppin some sweet vocals on "Dyin to be Me" aswell. It's been about 12 months and we produced, wrote, recorded and mixed/mastered about 40 tracks. I just started pickin some and putting together new fresh and different to my first album.

DB: So what are your favourite tracks on the album that the fans should be keepin' an ear out for?

HORA: "I Wonder" is deep and i enjoy that one. But "Fuck'em","Hard Head", "RAAAGGHHH!!!!" and "Dyin to be Me" are fire!!!! Every track is a little different and i'm sure there's a track on the album to touch on everyone.

DB: Where can the fans get in touch with you and find out more about PUSH?

HORA: At the moment we got music and some info about the group at www.triplejunearthed.com.au/PUSH and contact is through my email at mc_reid21@hotmail.com

Still tryin to get a website setup but i'm more into the music at the moment

DB: A'ight man, thanks for giving us a heads up on you & your crew.... i'll be checkin' for the album fa' sure.... Any last words before we get out of here?

HORA: Nice to have a chat with ya bro and a big up to all the Palmerston crew.

PUSH 4 Life!!! HORA OUT

DB: Peace Hora.... Family, support our hard working Local Hip Hop & RNB artists, go out and cop the album at Christmas and make sure you check back here at The Dope Den for the latest as it pops!
